Why play matters

Play is not just about having fun—it's a complex learning process. When children build with blocks, they explore physics and balance. When they engage in pretend play, they develop narrative skills and empathy. Through play, children learn to negotiate, solve problems, and regulate emotions.

Structured vs. unstructured play

Both have value. Structured play (like guided games) teaches rules and cooperation. Unstructured play allows children to follow their curiosity, make discoveries, and develop creativity. A balanced approach is key.
